Bixpy CanadaShare
ISLE kayaks like the Flywater and Megalodon have become popular with paddlers who want a stable, versatile kayak that’s easy to use and easy to transport. Both models perform well on lakes, slow rivers, and sheltered coastal waters, making them great for fishing, exploring, or relaxed day trips close to shore.
These kayaks are designed with roomy decks, steady hull shapes, and smooth tracking, which helps keep them comfortable even during longer outings. They’re also light enough for their size that most paddlers can load them into a vehicle without needing a trailer. For anyone looking for a flexible, approachable kayak for waters, the Flywater and Megalodon are strong options.
Why ISLE Kayaks Make Sense for Canadian Paddlers
ISLE kayaks offer several practical advantages that suit a wide range of conditions:
-
Stable and comfortable for fishing or casual paddling
-
Open, roomy layouts with space for gear or even a second passenger
-
Easy to transport thanks to manageable size and weight
-
Reliable performance on lakes, rivers, and protected coastal areas
These features make ISLE kayaks a solid choice for paddlers who want a dependable boat that’s simple to use and enjoyable in many different environments.
Adding Electric Power with Bixpy
Adding a Bixpy electric motor to an ISLE kayak can make time on the water more relaxed and efficient. Motor assist helps reduce fatigue, manage wind or current more easily, and lets you cover more distance without working as hard.
Bixpy offers adapter systems designed specifically to work with ISLE kayaks, so installation is clean, secure, and doesn’t require permanent modifications. The result is quiet, electric propulsion that fits naturally into your setup.
This guide covers how to motorize both the ISLE Megalodon and ISLE Flywater using Bixpy motor systems.

Motor and Steering Options for the ISLE Flywater & Megalodon
Both the ISLE Flywater and Megalodon come with a factory-installed mounting plate, which makes motor installation much simpler than on many other kayaks.
Using the Bixpy K-1 Motor
With the K-1 Motor, all you need is the Bixpy Power Pole Adapter. The built-in ISLE mounting plate is already compatible, so no extra brackets are required. Once installed, steering is handled with Bixpy Pole Steering, which connects directly to the motor and gives you smooth left-and-right control from your seat.
Using the Bixpy N-3 Motor
If you choose the N-3 Motor, the setup is slightly different. You’ll use ISLE’s motor mounting plate along with the Bixpy Power Pole-to-Transom Conversion Plate, which allows the N-3 to mount securely at the stern. Steering is done with the N-3’s tiller handle, and a tiller extension is available to make it more comfortable to reach from your seated position.
These options give you flexibility to choose the motor and steering style that best fits how you paddle, fish, or explore while keeping the installation simple and clean.
